Excavation covers everything from rough site clearing through precision foundation digging and finish grading. We clear a site of brush, stumps, and existing debris, then cut and shape the ground to the depths and slopes a project actually needs. Foundation excavation is dug to engineered depths with the tolerances your building plans call for, so footings and slabs sit on solid, properly compacted ground. Utility trenching is cut at the correct depth and slope for gravity-fed lines, whether that’s a storm line, a water service, or a sewer connection. Finish grading establishes the slope that carries water away from structures instead of toward them, which matters on Fraser Valley clay that already drains slowly on its own.
Before any digging starts, we submit a BC One Call request so utility locations are marked on site, and we build the required response window into the schedule rather than treating it as an afterthought. On projects where a municipal permit applies, we handle the application and manage inspections through to sign-off.
Properties without access to municipal sewer need a septic system that’s designed for the site’s soil and sized for the building it serves, then installed to meet BC’s Sewerage System Regulation. We coordinate directly with Registered Onsite Wastewater Practitioners (ROWPs), who hold the planning, installation, and maintenance endorsements the regulation requires, so the system design matches what the property’s soil and water table can actually support. From there we handle the physical installation: septic tank placement, drain field or advanced treatment system construction, and connection to the building.
Permitting runs through the regional health authority rather than the municipality. The ROWP files the required design and, once construction is complete, submits a letter of certification to the health authority confirming the system was built to the approved design. We manage our end of that process and keep you informed at each stage, so there’s no gap between construction finishing and the system being signed off as compliant.
Yes. Before any digging, BC law requires a BC One Call request so nearby utility owners can mark or provide locates for their lines. Depending on the site, a municipal building or works permit may also apply, and we handle both as part of the project.
If your property doesn’t have access to a municipal sewer connection, you need an onsite sewerage system designed and installed under BC’s Sewerage System Regulation. A Registered Onsite Wastewater Practitioner assesses the site’s soil and water table to determine the system type it can support, and we build to that design.
